1 Use the templates on pages 148-9 to cut out all the fabric pieces. Place the two outer pieces of fabric (B) right sides together and align their raw edges. Pin or tack around the two layers of fabric, leaving the straight top edge open. Stitch a 3⁄8in (1cm) seam all the way around. Clip the curve where the leg curves into the ankle and cut small ‘V’s at the curve of the heel and toes (see page 27).
