WORKING IN THE back or front LOOP only
Generally, a crochet stitch is made by slipping the hook under the top two loops of a stitch. You can create a different effect by working into the back or front loop only (abbreviations: ‘blo’ and ‘flo’) of each stitch of one round or row… The illustration shows blo.
PUFF STITCH
The Fuchsia pattern (see page 64) and Snowdrop (see page 108) create a puff by drawing several loops together and then making a sl st to secure.
3 Rep twice into the same st. You will have 7 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw through all loops on hook. Make a sl st to secure.
