Peter Benson
Peter spent his working life as a secondary school teacher, which convinced him that anyone can do almost anything if given the right motivation and opportunity. On his retirement he set up the Essex School of Woodcarving and also travelled the world, running workshops and judging carving competitions. He now volunteers at his local primary school teaching small groups of children how to carve. Peter still writes regularly for woodcarving journals and is the author of several whittling gift books, including the Whittling Handbook, Woodland Whittling and Whittling Wildlife, all published by GMC Publications.
